Welcome to Dev Blog #15! Horses matter a lot in Pactoria, whether you're getting around or fighting on horseback, and we've added a solid new feature to make managing them a whole lot easier.
At a glance
- Pocket your horse inside its saddle and spawn it wherever you are
- Carry up to 5 horses; more than 2 slows you down
- A dead horse can be brought back to life with a hay block
- Horse armor now takes armor trims
Pocketing your horse
You can now pick up your horse entirely. Right-click the saddle while it's in the horse's inventory, and the horse is stored inside the saddle itself.
Whenever you want it back, right-click the saddle again and it spawns right where you are.
Carry limits
You can't carry an unlimited number, though:
- Two horses: no drawbacks.
- Three or more: every extra horse slows you down.
- Five horses is the cap.
No more losing your horse for good
If your horse dies, it's not gone forever anymore. The saddle it drops holds the dead horse inside, and you can bring it back to life by right-clicking a hay block near it.
Your loyal steed doesn't have to be a permanent loss.
One more small touch
Horse armor can now take any armor trim, just like regular armor. Get ready to charge into a joust decked out in your nation's colours.
